Bountiful Baskets

Have you ever heard of Bountiful baskets food co-op?  Well if you haven't, it is awesome.  I was introduced to this co-op from my friend Courtney.  She is super smart about food.  If I ever have a question about anything food related Courtney usually has the answer.  You should check out her blog for some awesome recipes.  Any ways, you can choose to get a conventional basket or a organic basket.  You go to the web sight, find your area (they are in more states than just Utah), choose the basket you want and when the pick up day arrives take a laundry basket with you and load up on tons of awesome produce.  My kids love going each week and seeing what we got.  It has helped us eat a bit healthier. What's not to love about that?
  • This is a great deal and you are helping others get a great deal, too. With the conventional produce offering, you get approximately $50 worth of grocery store-quality produce for only $15.
  • This co-op encourages a healthier lifestyle.
  • You meet great people!

Memorial Day sales

There are a lot of really good sales happening right now, I just had to share a few of my favorites!

Have you ever heard of BODEN?  I love it!!  They have really cute stuff, kinda excpencive in my book but evey now and then Boden will have a sale.  So here it is...  25% off today and free shipping!  Wahoo.  If I wasn't saving my pennies for bunk beds right now these are some things I might have in my cart.

I love this yellow top.  I think it would be so cute with a pair of skinny jeans and flats or dress it up with a tucked in to a pencil skirt and a pair of colorful heals.

I think I have a thing for these colors right now.

How fun is this white shirt.  So CUTE!

I did actually order this shirt for Child #1.  She loves the colors, as do I.

Child #2 thought the bulls eye on this one was fun, I think I was drawn to the colors.

Wishing I had a sweet little baby to dress up. Boden always has cute knitwear and dresses for babies.

The Children's Place has some sreaming deals right now.  They are calling it 5 dollar days. A lot of there items are 5 dollars and then when you use the code W7D2011 you get 15% off  and free shipping.

This shirt is only $4.50.  I think I might get a few of these to embellish.
Last but not least, every thing at is $12.99 or less.  That's right everything.  even the new items!  Awesome right?  I got a pack of 7 pairs of undies for half off and a dress for Miss Janie june bug.

Happy Memorial Day shopping!!

Main street in Bountiful

Brooks is one of my favorite fabric stores. They have a lot of really cute fabric and I love their sales. It is on Main street in Bountiful. If  you walk down the street there is a darling little store called All Tucked In.  It is a little boutique/book store with a lot of vintage charm.  It has a red door and the owner always puts cute stuff out front, you cant miss it.

Lucky Me

Check out what I won at the 365 Swap!!  I know, it's amazing.  There were so many pins on this beauty, I just happened to be the lucky winner.  I was so excited to add it to my collection of quilts. Some day when my kids are not so destructive I will pull it out of the hutch and drape it over something.  I LOVE all the color of this quilt.

Bunk bed dilemma

I really don't love bunk beds, but isn't it every kids dream to have bunk beds.  I think they are kind of like a pet. I loved them as a kid but now that I have to take care of all the pet stuff, I don't want one.  Super cute and fun but really just a pain in the rear!
So my two year old just figured out how to get out of his crib.  Talk about nightmare.  I knew this day was coming, I just didn't prepare myself for it.  I told my two older boys we would get bunk beds when the youngest needed one of their beds.  Now I am stuck getting bunk beds, so I figure I might as well make them cute.   I don't know what the hubby is up to doing, but I am open to any ideas.
Check out these fun bunk beds I found here.

Gourmet Club

I got to host gourmet club with my friend Melissa last week.  This year we chose to do a fresh and flavorful theme.  Melissa and I love to cook but we love to decorate maybe a little bit more.  We came up with how we wanted to decorate before we came up with our menu.

When we went to Palmyra New York this spring, our husbands brought home 150 lb. of wood from the Hill Cumorah.  (This was totally legal, they had connections!)  They wood made fabulous place settings! I loved the All the wood, pink and greens we had going on!

We had a lot of amazing help this time around.  Our good friend, who took all of our amazing photos of that night happens to be an amazing chef.  She made mozzarella cheese, that's right I said she made it. You can check out the recipe as well as all of the recipes of that night HERE.  Courtney also made a really yummy lemon grass soup.  Matt came up with my favorite dish of the night, jicama slaw and ahi with cilantro pesto!!  It was amazing... he was amazing.  I think I have the best husband on this planet.  He shopped for all the ingredients, came home from work early and prepared the whole dish for us that night.  I don't know if he will ever know how much stress that took off of Melissa and I. Overall I thought the night turned out wonderful. Check out the gourmet club blog for all the photos and recipes.

Change yourself, change the world

Can we really change the world?  The news of Osama bin Laden's death has had me thinking all morning.  How are things going to be different now?  I don't know, but I don't think having him dead is going to make the world much different.  We will still have wars and other hurtful things.  I wish everyone could realize if they changed themselves we could change the world.  I found this list I love here.
